Laurence Sarezky, Writer/Director
A writer of fiction, screenplays and music, Larry adapted "Ed Meets His Maker" from his short story collection, "When We Were Nine".
In addition to writing and directing “Ed,” Larry also wrote and performed “Cool School Kids,” a 50’s rock ‘n roll tune for the film’s soundtrack. Larry also recently wrote and performed the theme music for the northern California cable TV educational program "Read Me A Story," and his music is included in the Songs of Love Foundation collection for seriously ill children.
To date, Larry has written three feature screenplays, all of which have won honors in screenwriting competitions. He is currently writing a short screenplay for the State of Connecticut Bar Association concerning children caught in custody battles, and will also serve as the film's director. Larry has had both fiction and non-fiction pieces published and has a co-producer credit for the indie short "State of Grace".
Brian Keane, Composer
Brian was the first composer in the history of the Emmys to sweep the Emmy nominations for Outstanding Music Composition in a single year (2002). In 2003 he won an Emmy again for Outstanding Music Composition for HBO's "Picture Perfect" as well as composing the music to the Peabody Award winning film "The Complete Angler" and Ric Burns' "Ansel Adams" which won the Emmy for Best Picture. In 2004 Brian won another Music Emmy for HBO's "Curse of The Bambino".
To date, albums produced by Brian have won a Grammy award among three Grammy nominations and have been in the Billboard Top 10 twenty-nine times, including five Number One records. Films scored by Brian have won a total of forty-two Emmy Awards among sixty-three nominations, including ten Emmy Awards for Best Music, among twenty-three nominations.
Ken Eluto, Editor
Ken’s work as an editor of films, TV series and documentaries has won acclaim throughout the entertainment industry. In 1996 he won an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement for Picture Editing for his work on the Disney/Public Television documentary “Long Journey Home: The Irish in America”.
In 1999 Ken won the International Monitor Award for Best Editor, Film Originated Television Series for an episode of “Homicide: Life on The Street;” and he has also garnered a Primetime Emmy picture editing nomination for the Academy Award nominated documentary “The Battle Over Citizen Kane”. Ken edits regularly for producers Barry Levinson and Tom Fontana, including productions of “Oz” (HBO), “The Bedford Diaries” (Warner Bros./HBO), “The Jury” (20th Century Fox) and “The Beat” (UPN).
Tim Bellen, Director of Photography
A veteran TV network series camera operator, Tim’s credits include “Just Shoot Me,” “One Tree Hill,” “Malcolm in The Middle” and “West Wing”. Tim has also acted as director of photography for several pilots and short films.
During the summer of 2005, Tim directed/produced "State of Grace" (Wiley Boy Films), a short film about a young sightless girl, which is now in post-production. He is currently acting as director of photography for the independent film, “Edible” produced by Born of Woman Films.
Mark Hager, Co-Producer/Assistant Director
Mark has spent ten of his fifteen year career in the motion picture industry as a Production /Assistant Production Coordinator with credits including The Matrix Reloaded and Revolution, The Hulk, 50 First Dates, The Game, Patch Adams, Sweet November, James and the Giant Peach, Jack and Dream With The Fishes. In 2002, Mark started his own independent film company, Little Hawk Films in Santa Rosa, California. His first film The Field about the Cuban Missile Crisis, which he wrote, directed and co-produced, premiered at the Ashland Film Festival and subsequently has been screened at over 10 festivals around the country and broadcast on FreeSpeech TV in May 2005.
Mark is also Executive Producer of the short film State of Grace now in post production and Line Producer for the Born of Woman Films short film production, Edible.
Mara LeGrand, Producer - Development
An award-winning photojournalist, screenwriter, poet and former columnist & writer-producer of a weekly public radio broadcast, Mara has served as both producer and story consultant for "Ed Meets His Maker”. She has been involved in promoting independent filmmaking for many years beginning in 1976 with the Telluride Film Festival, and most recently as national publicity coordinator for the Screenwriters' Conference at Santa Fe and broadcast publicist for filmmakers at the Durango Film Festival.
Drawing upon a background in business development, publicity & marketing, Mara is in the process of establishing a documentary production company.
